Draper, Utah – January 24, 2007 – MEGADYNE, the electrosurgical equipment developer, and HealthSouth Corporation (NYSE: HLS), one of the nation’s largest healthcare services providers have entered into an exclusive agreement for HealthSouth to use MEGADYNE’s complete circuit of electrosurgical products and educational support in its nationwide network of surgery centers.

Effective immediately, MEGADYNE’s entire product line of electrosurgery products will be integrated into HealthSouth’s surgery centers, with a goal of 90 percent compliance after implementation.

Under the three-year agreement, HealthSouth will offer MEGADYNE’s complete circuit of electrosurgical care products:
- Mega Power™ electrosurgical generator
- E-Z Clean® line of non-stick electrosurgical tips
- Mega Soft® reusable Patient Return Electrode
- E-Z Pen™ Electrosurgical Pencil
- Resposable Laparoscopic Electrodes with MegaTip® and Indicator Shaft® technology
- Ultravac™ smoke evacuator, and
- Additional electrosurgical peripherals and accessories.
